National curriculum
In September 2009 Home Economics Victoria provided a submission paper to the board of the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) stating our position on home economics as a curriculum entitilement for all students. Parliament of Victoria inquiry
The Victorian Parliament's Education and Training Committee has conducted an inquiry into the potential for developing opportunities for schools to become a focus for promoting healthy community living. Home Economics Victoria made a submission to this inquiry and it can be viewed online. The report and recommendations are due to be released in October 2010.
