This workshop will demonstrate how our new Home economics in action 1 CD ROM resource can be used at Level 5 (Year 7–8). This practical, hands-on text for teachers introduces grassroots concepts such as health and safety, food preparation, the design process and the responsible use of resources. The VCAA is currently undertaking a review for the revised VCE Design and Technology study design. Home Economics Victoria will be hosting a focus group meeting to prepare a response to this review. All members are invited to contribute to the Home Economics Victoria response. You will also need a copy of your current VCE Design and Technology study design.

Home Economics Victoria provides support to Victorian teachers in the form of an extensive program of professional learning.

Our calendar includes mini conferences, lectures, practical workshops, curriculum updates, industry presentations, tours and student sessions concluding with the term 4 Annual Conference. Presenters include industry professionals, experts, skilled artisans, chefs and colleagues.
