Menus today include many modern and classic appetisers and salads. This training will guide you through preparing and serving a range of hot and cold appetisers and salads with their accompanying dressings or sauces. This is a core unit in VCE VET Hospitality programs 1 and 2.

Gain the skills in making a variety of non-alcoholic drinks from the latest types of teas to mocktails. Learn the art of shaking, crushing, and blending to make fruity and creamy mocktails, frappes and other fruit and milk-based drinks. This unit is part of Units 3 and 4 VCE VET Hospitality Program One.

  • SIT20207 Certificate II in Hospitality
  • SIT20307 Certificate II in Hospitality (Kitchen Operations)
  • SIT30707 Certificate III in Hospitality

Vocational Graduate Diploma of Home Economics Education

While it took over two years to develop Home Economics Victoria stands proud that as a professional association we have developed our own nationally recognised Vocational Graduate Diploma of Home Economics Education. This initiative supports postgraduate training to qualify already trained teachers in Victoria in home economics education.

CHC42108 Certificate IV in Career Development

The Career Education Association of Victoria (CEAV) under auspice arrangements with Home Economics Victoria will be offering the CHC42108 Certificate IV in Career Development in 2010. The Program has been designed to suit career practitioners working with young people in education with a special elective targeting career practitioners working with young people with disabilities.
